MEN ON MISSION - Men's Ministry

The mission of the Church of the Firstborn is to provide men with resources and support to help them develop godly character, and to equip them to influence their community and the world for Christ .

Our Men's Ministry is dedicated to bringing men into a closer relationship with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to use their gifts by playing their part in the life of the fellowship and beyond We believe that the men’s ministry will develop and be productive if they are fulfilled in the study of the word.

(1 Peter 2:1-3; Psalm 1:1-3).

The Ministry facilitates a brotherhood amongst the men of our fellowship and the Body of Christ enabling them to be true Servant/Leaders in   the family, church, workplace and the community.

Our aim for the men's ministry is to encourage men by the provision of regular/weekly biblical instructions (1 Thessalonians 2:13).

Being active in the ministry the men will enable the men of our church to apply God's Word to all areas of life. We believe that it is the purpose of every man in the ministry to actively share their faith by investing time and resources into the lives of other men through shared activities, spiritual mentoring and modelling  where appropriate behaviour (1 Peter 4:10-11; Ephesians 4:11-13; 2 Tim. 2:22; Proverbs 27:17; in order to lead others into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8; 1 Peter 3:15; Matthew 28:18-20).

Activities

Prayer breakfast is offered once a year  and regular gardening time is available to those wising to share that skill a time for fathers, grandfathers,  sons, and grandsons to get together to share

The Bible says, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." This is the great commission spoken by Jesus Himself.
